This piece for the exhibition Ejercicios de complicidad o la obstinación de lo mutable (Exercises in complicity or the mutable´s obstination), examines the possible interactions between the exhibition space´s architecture and changing matter. The specific temporary and spatial conditions of the place such as distances, differences in height or inclination, constantly exert material variations in time, revealing the mutable character of the material, but also of the space. In a constant confrontation of tensions and forces, the acrylic paint surface elongates, gets thinner and starts accumulating on the floor, describing architectural dimensions at the same time as it points at its material properties and its manufacturing process. Matter is thus shown as something unfinished, something that remains in continuous process without gearing towards a final form, something which stays in a perpetual state of becoming.
